01
What the reviews say
The reviews talk most about the cloth, the speed and the fit, in almost equal measure, and they are consistent about it. The pattern is worth more than any single quotation. The figures below are counted across all fifteen, read in full on Google.
Speed, fit and fabric, counted
Six things come up across the fifteen reviews, each review counted once per topic:
| What is mentioned | In how many |
|---|---|
| Cloth or fabric | 8 of 15 |
| Speed or turnaround | 7 of 15 |
| Fit or the fittings | 7 of 15 |
| Value or price | 6 of 15 |
| Saying they would return | 4 of 15 |
| Staff named personally | 3 of 15 |
Cloth, speed and fit sit within one review of each other, which fits a shop inside a skytrain station next to MBK where people handle the books and are often passing through. Reviews describe the experience people had rather than auditing the garment, so judge the fit at your own second fitting, not from a strangerβs five stars.
What you can check for any cloth here is the name printed on the book it came from.
For speed, see what a same-day order involves.

02
Three things to check before you pay anyone
Reviews tell you about a shopβs manner and its speed. They almost never tell you about its construction, because customers cannot see it. These three questions do, they take a minute, and they work in any tailor in any city.
Is it canvassed
The suits here are canvassed, and any jacket can be checked by hand in a few seconds: pinch the front of a finished jacket below the buttonhole and try to separate the outer cloth from the lining. Three layers moving independently means canvas; one stiff sheet means fused. Ask at the order whether yours is full or half β full, half or fused has the test in full.
Are there two fittings
Two fittings are standard here, and the first should be on a basted garment. A basted fitting is hard to fake, because the jacket visibly comes apart. One fitting on a finished suit is made to measure being sold as bespoke β bespoke against made to measure.
Is the cloth what you were shown
The cloth is what you were shown when the shop can name the book it came from, so ask for that name and write it down at the order. The books here are Sirano, Cavani, Luiciano and Lord & Taylor. A shop that cannot name the book your cloth came from cannot show you it was used.
The same check applies when the measuring happens away from the shop and the books are brought to you: measurement without coming in.

03
What happens if it is wrong
You bring it back and it is corrected on your body, which is the practical advantage of buying from a shop with a fixed address you can return to rather than from a travelling fitting. Ask at the order whether corrections are free. if it does not fit covers what to do, including from another country.

04
Who makes your suit
Your suit is measured, drafted and fitted in the shop, in front of you, and who does each stage of the work is a fair thing to ask there; a tailor doing the work will not mind being asked. Three of the fifteen reviews name staff personally, which is the ordinary sign of a small shop where the same people serve you each time. The shop is inside BTS National Stadium station at exits 3 and 4, open 10am to 9pm every day; more on its suits is at bespoke suits in Bangkok.

My entire family made suits and shirts with The Loft Tailors. Very good value and Mr Sun was very helpful with the whole process. The turnaround was extremely quick, and the shop is located at the station next to MBK which is really convenient. Will definitely return!

Had a very good experience having my first ever suit made by The Loft Tailors. Since we were just transiting via Bangkok during the start and end of our trip, wasn't sure if it was enough time to have a suit made. Turns out, it is possible with the Loft Tailors! βΊοΈ They were very professional and transparent with the process. Also very easy to get in touch with and very responsive.

Excellent service and great attention to detail. The tailor really took the time to understand the style and fit I wanted, and the final suit came out perfectly. The fabric quality is very good, the cutting is sharp, and the fit feels comfortable while still looking elegant.

We stumbled upon The Loft Tailors getting off the sky train going to MBK. The price of the suit was very competitive and the craftsmanship was great. My son went to the fitting appointment and needed slight adjustment. When we came back to fit again it was perfect. They also are very fast.

Questions people ask
- How many reviews does the shop have?
- Google shows 4.8 from 22. Fifteen are shown on this page, each with a link to the original on Google. Read the full set on Google for the whole picture.
- Where can I read every review?
- On Google, where all 22 are listed with the 4.8 average. The ones shown here each link to the original.
- What do the reviews consistently say?
- The cloth, the speed and the fit, almost equally. Counted across the fifteen published here, read in full: cloth or fabric in 8, speed or turnaround in 7, fit or the fittings in 7, value in 6, 4 saying they would return, and staff named personally in 3. People describe the experience they had rather than auditing the garment afterwards, so judge the fit at your own second fitting.
- Should I trust online reviews for a tailor?
- For manner and speed, yes. For construction, no, because customers cannot see it. Reviews almost never tell you whether a jacket is canvassed or whether a pattern was drafted, which are the two things that decide what you actually bought. The three checks on this page cover what reviews cannot, and they take about a minute between them.
- What should I check before paying any tailor?
- Three things. Is the jacket canvassed, which you can test yourself by pinching the front below the buttonhole. Are there two fittings, and is the first on a basted garment. Can the shop name the cloth book your cloth came from. Those work in any tailor in any city. None of the three needs any expertise, and a shop that answers all three plainly has told you most of what you need to know.
- Where does the cloth come from?
- Each cloth is chosen from a named book. The books on the table are named Sirano, Cavani, Luiciano and Lord and Taylor.
- What happens if my suit is wrong?
- You bring it back and it is corrected on your body, which is the practical advantage of a shop with a fixed address over a travelling fitting. Ask at the order whether corrections are free, rather than after. Come in wearing it rather than carrying it, because the correction is pinned on your body and a garment on a hanger answers nothing.
