No appointment needed, and you stay fully clothed. You choose cloth, you are measured, and you agree a date for the first fitting. The shop is inside BTS National Stadium station at exits 3 and 4, open 10am to 9pm every day.

01

What to bring

  • The shoes you will wear with the suit. The single most useful thing you can bring, because trouser length is set against a heel height.
  • A garment that already fits you well, if you own one. It answers questions a conversation struggles with.
  • A photograph of anything you want the suit to look like.
  • Your dates — when you fly, when the wedding is, when you need it.

You do not need to bring anything else. Measurements are taken over the clothes you arrive in, so wear something reasonably close-fitting rather than bulky — that’s everything the first step of ordering a bespoke suit needs from you.

02

What happens on the day

  1. Say what you want made and when you need it.
  2. Choose cloth from the books on the table. This usually takes longer than the measuring.
  3. Be measured, standing naturally.
  4. Make the decisions that have to be made before cutting: lining, buttons, rise, lapel, vents.
  5. Agree the first fitting date.

Then you leave, and the pattern is drafted for a jacket that is canvassed, not fused.

Most of the appointment goes on the books rather than on the tape. The decisions around the measuring take most of it, and those are the ones not to rush. Every choice made quickly here is one you live with for the life of the garment, so come when you are not due somewhere else.

Do you need to book

No. Walk in any day between 10am and 9pm. Booking on WhatsApp is worth doing in three cases: you are on a tight deadline and want to know before you travel whether it is possible, you are bringing a group and would rather not wait, or you have a question whose answer decides whether you come at all. The shop answers on WhatsApp at 085 048 7655.

If your dates are tighter than a normal order allows, say so when you message: a suit made inside a day is a different schedule with different limits.

Finding us

The shop is inside BTS National Stadium station, at exits 3 and 4, on Rama I Road in Wang Mai, Pathum Wan — beside MBK Center. It is in the station itself rather than on the street below, which is the part people get wrong: come up to the station level and the shop is at the exits rather than outside them. If you are already at MBK you are about six minutes away on foot (Google Maps, to the middle of the mall).

From the other places nearby, the pages for BACC, Siam Discovery, Siam Center, Siam Square and Siam Paragon give the walk to the shop and how to book.

If coming in is the hard part rather than the appointment itself, being measured where you are staying explains where the shop will travel to and what it brings.

How long it takes

How long the first visit takes depends mostly on the cloth: going through the books properly is the longer part, so allow time for it. Ask on WhatsApp if you need a firm time before you plan your day. After that there are two fittings — the fitting schedule.

Questions people ask

Do I need an appointment?
No. The door is open 10am to 9pm, any day of the week. Messaging first on WhatsApp is worth doing if you are on a deadline and want to know before you travel whether it is possible, if you are bringing several people, or if you have a question whose answer decides whether you come at all.
How long does the first appointment take?
It depends mostly on the cloth. Measuring is done over your clothes, and going through the cloth books properly is the part worth allowing time for. For a firm time, message on WhatsApp before you come. After that there are two fittings.
What should I bring?
The shoes you will wear with the suit, which is the single most useful thing, because trouser length is set against a heel height. A garment that already fits you well if you own one. A photograph of anything you want it to look like. And your dates: when you fly, when the wedding is, when you need it finished.
What should I wear to be measured?
Something reasonably close-fitting. Measurements are taken over the clothes you arrive in, so a thick jacket or a bulky jumper becomes part of the measurement and has to be estimated back out of it. You stay fully clothed throughout and nothing is removed.
Where exactly is the shop?
Inside BTS National Stadium station, at exits 3 and 4, on Rama I Road in Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, beside MBK Center. The part people get wrong is that it is in the station rather than on the street below: come up to the station level and it is at the exits rather than outside them.
Can I just look at cloth without ordering?
Yes. The books are on the table and looking through them costs nothing. It is a sensible thing to do if you are in Bangkok for a few days and deciding whether to order, because handling cloth tells you more in ten minutes than any amount of reading about it does.
Can you come to my hotel instead?
Yes, in central Bangkok. Hotel measuring is available: you book it on WhatsApp and the tailor comes to you with the cloth books and the tape. It is the usual answer for people who are short on time or travelling with others who cannot easily get to the station.
Do I pay on the day?
Ask about the deposit and payment terms before anything is cut rather than at the counter; deposits and payment lists the questions worth asking.
What if I do not know what I want?
That is the ordinary case and it is what the first appointment is for. Say what the suit is for and when you need it, and the questions get asked in the right order. Bringing a photograph of something you like, or a garment that already fits you, shortens the conversation more than any description will.

5 out of 5 stars

Had a very good experience having my first ever suit made by The Loft Tailors. Since we were just transiting via Bangkok during the start and end of our trip, wasn't sure if it was enough time to have a suit made. Turns out, it is possible with the Loft Tailors! ☺️ They were very professional and transparent with the process. Also very easy to get in touch with and very responsive.
